We are Knut Erik and Linn — a married couple, musicians, and the duo behind Perfect Day.
In addition to our long-standing work with live events, we are now also releasing original music through our new project, Catcha Bloom.
Our debut single River of Mercy was released on Friday, April 25, 2025. We are releasing one new song every month for a full year — twelve songs in total.

Making the right choice of music for dancing at our wedding was one of the most difficult things. Should we choose a DJ? A band? If so, what kind of band? There were so many options and combinations, and we didn't know any of them before. After talking to Linn, things suddenly weren't difficult anymore. Of course we were going to have a band and live music, and of course it was going to be Perfect Day!
Perfect Day went further than we could have expected to make our day go smoothly. The atmosphere was high and the dance floor was full from the first song. The sound quality and performance were impeccable, and the guests were over the moon with excitement. We were married in Fredrikstad Cathedral on a beautiful, sun-filled day in June.
A joyful celebration with guests arriving from Fredrikstad, Årnes, and Trøndelag.
We rented Phønix in Fredrikstad, which felt like an elegant ballroom.
We decided early on that food and drinks were something we wanted to be very particular about, and we spent a lot of time finding exactly the right choices.
Music, however, was incredibly important to us in creating the right atmosphere throughout the day.
We chose Perfect Day, who provided a beautiful dinner medley during the entire meal. They played gentle, tasteful songs that created a wonderful sense of comfort and ease.
After dinner, they performed a self-composed, deeply beautiful song during the bride’s speech to the groom. At that moment, every hair stood on end.
Not a single eye was dry — it was truly magical.
We were given our own bridal waltz, performed live and sung to “Tir’ na noir” by Vamp. We felt like the most beautiful couple as we floated across the floor, completely immersed in our dance.
Perfect Day had also set up professional lighting, adding a romantic atmosphere to the entire evening.
Not once did I worry about the music that night.
We had shared a few song wishes in advance — and every single one was fulfilled.
As the evening moved into its final hours, around 80% of the guests were dancing and sweating — across all ages and music styles. The music was varied, joyful, and something everyone could connect with. They were incredibly skilled at keeping the energy high.
When the clock struck 1:00 a.m. and it was time for late-night food, they still managed to keep us going right to the very end!
Linn started a line dance, and the atmosphere lifted once again. Everyone found their inner rock spirit.
One of our guests said:
“Oh my God, we’ve danced more together at your wedding than we have in our ten years together.”
That was the moment I truly felt how successful our wedding night had been — largely thanks to Perfect Day.
We received so many comments like: “Where did you find them?” and “This was amazing!” — as we say in Trøndelag.

Thank you so much for helping make our wedding day so special by performing during the ceremony at Mortensrud Church on June 29th, 2013.
Hearing Linn sing “You’ll Never Walk Alone” was an incredible and deeply moving experience. The song means a great deal to us, and it could not have been performed in a more beautiful way. It was absolutely stunning.
